These days you can find pretty much anything processed, prepared, packaged and waiting for you on a store shelf. But your wallet isn’t the only one paying the price for such convenience — the planet is, too.
7 things you can make instead of buying

I have so many master posts book marked, so I decided to combine all of the (in my opinion) most useful links into one master list and share it with all my followers. Enjoy!

I saw a post about your synesthesia, the months and the oval and such. Just wanted to say hello, I have that too! Do your months have different colours/ textures?

Hello! No, I don’t think they do. I simply see my life spread out on a race track, going counterclockwise. Each event in my life has a specific place, depending on when it happened. Future plans tend to have a specific location, too. I think we’re kind of rare, yes? And also very good with directions. Your thoughts? What else does yours entail?

dianamn asked:

I’m ok…just really bruised. I was on my bike and made the stupid assumption that the car could see me. So, went to the hospital and got x-rayed - - no fractures - - but haha, about the post, and people thinking getting hit by cars is fun. I might get a new bike out of the deal, but this is Korea where being a foreigner doesn’t give you too many points.

why get a job when you can get hit by cars and sue the drivers

And then you get injured and possibility die? I don’t think so.

get rich or die tryin dont you know the fuckin motto

Got hit by a car today. Not so funny, yo.

Why do we have an abortion rate 20% higher than France’s (and more than twice as high as Germany’s), especially considering most doctors here won’t perform them? The answer is any country that has universal health care, where contraception is free, where child care is free or inexpensive, where there is less poverty because people don’t become bankrupt over medical bills — those societies are simply going to have fewer unplanned and unwanted pregnancies.

And there the mask gets pulled off the Bart Stupaks and the “Christians.” If the statistics show that countries with government-provided universal health care and nearly-free abortions are, in fact, the countries with the fewest abortions, then why on earth wouldn’t the Right be the first in line to support universal health care?

Because it isn’t about “universal health care.” It’s about controlling women, period. It’s about sticking your nose in other people’s business. It’s about pushing your religious beliefs on everyone else because voices in your head tell you your Jesus is The One — even though your Jesus never said one single solitary word in any of the four gospels of the Bible about abortion or fertilized eggs being human. You’ve just gone and made it up about “life beginning at conception.” Jesus never said that. The little voice in your head said that, the same little voice that wants your grubby paws on women’s uteruses. You need help. Please get some help and leave the rest of us alone, Mr. Stupak and friends.

Michael Moore: My Congressman, Bart Stupak, Has Neither a Uterus Nor a Brain (via veruca-assault)

This is an aside, but it’s gotta be said…(pertaining to “Even though your Jesus never said one single solitary word…about abortion or fertilized eggs being human…”

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb." Psalm 139:13, 16

I think this Mr. Moore should do a bit more research before he goes claiming that Jesus doesn’t care about unborn babies.

That is all. *steps off soapbox*
